The lesson: Sometimes self-care looks like working hard for your goals, cooking healthy foods, and sustaining your routines.
We have been working really hard since May, almost nonstop. As this was planned well in advance; in April, I thought that we might need a short break in August so I made a booking. Although the idea of having a break, exploring new cities, and eating out always seems reasonable, we learned that it may not be the case. It turned out that for us, self-care looks like working hard for your goals, cooking healthy foods, and sustaining your routines.
The book: The Happiness Advantage: The Seven Principles of Positive Psychology that Fuel Success and Performance at Work by Shawn Achor
I am still reading this book, but it is by far one of the best books I have ever read. It has been some time since I realized that my performance increases with the level of my happiness, but reading about the scientific evidence behind my own observation is just amazing. I am also learning how to improve my life to benefit more from “The Happiness Advantage.”
I look forward to recording a YouTube video (or multiple YouTube videos) about this book, as I believe the knowledge in this book should be available to everyone.

When I publish a video or post, some of my followers say, “This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. How do you know this?” This is what I thought immediately after I started listening to this podcast.
