Sidika's 2024 Goals Update-Mid Year
On the 30th of December 2023, Guven and I sat down in a pub in London and answered this question:
“What do we want to celebrate in December 2024?”
My list includes four goals:
Exercise at least once a week throughout the year (no excuses!)🏄♀️
Reaching 100K subscribers on my YouTube channel📷
Getting X$ investment for my startup idea and hiring two full-time employees🚀
(🤭Sorry, I am still not ready to share this goal, but believe me, I am very much looking forward to sharing this with everyone:)
First of all, I am very happy and proud to share that so far, I have exercised at least once a week, often despite my hectic schedule. My exercises included yoga, core training, traditional strength training, and surfing (my favorite!). But sometimes, I just walked, walking for 30 minutes while listening to a new episode of my favorite podcasts was just what I needed.
I track my exercises with my Apple watch, and as you can see below, my statistics show that compared to 2023, I am much more active this year, and I also feel much healthier and stronger🧿
Second, in December 2023, as a 5-month-old YouTuber, I set the goal of reaching 100K subscribers by the end of 2024. With six months left to the end of this year, my YouTube channel now has 17K subscribers, so I don’t think I will be able to reach my target. However, as I mentioned in my post in March, I have already decided to focus on the process and things in my control rather than the outcome measures that mainly depend on others. So, since March, my goal has been to publish at least one long-form video per week, and I have succeeded. Moving forward, although I really really want to reach more people with my videos, I will try to publish at least one long-form video per week, and we will all see how many subscribers my YouTube channel will have at the end of the year.

Third, I have been working on my dream project for nine months. I should first admit this: it is moving much slower than planned, but I know this is normal. It is a common practice to underestimate the required time to complete a project, so I learnt to be okay with it (not easy). In the last couple of weeks, there have been incredible improvements in this project. Most importantly, now there are other people sharing the dream of mine, and ahh, I cannot explain how energizing this is. Going back to my financial and operational goals for this dream, I am not sure whether I will be able to reach them, but I know that I am on the right track🚀

Last but not least, in March, I decided to incorporate meditation into my daily routine. Although I meditated every day in March, I couldn’t stick to this habit. I stopped meditating in April and meditated only a few times in the last three months, so I need your help🆘
